Ruhan is a qualified Patent Attorney, admitted to the High Court of South Africa and a registered patent attorney. Ruhan practices in the patent division of Bouwers Inc. He is also a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL) and a member of the Licensing Executives Society of South Africa (LESSA).
Ruhan specializes in intellectual property, including technology, patent, design and copyright related matters. More specifically, he specializes in the protection of intellectual property and the enforcement of intellectual property rights internationally. Ruhan’s practice includes patent and design searches, validity and infringement opinions, and preparing and filing patent and design applications, as well as prosecuting such applications, internationally.
He further specializes in the commercialization of intellectual property, including intellectual property due diligence, valuations and damages calculations, cross-border transactions, and related agreements.
