Deon has more than 25 years’ experience in trade mark and related matters, is recognized as an expert in this field and represents various blue chip companies throughout the world.
He further has extensive experience and specialise in trade mark litigation and prosecution, in South Africa as well as internationally, intellectual property management, advertising industry matters, domain name disputes, alternative dispute resolution and the commercialisation of trade marks.
Deon has been internationally recognised in peer-selected reviews such as Managing Intellectual Property, Who’s Who Legal and Chambers Global Guide Legal Rankings.
He is further a member of the Legal Practice Council, a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL), a member various committees of the SAIIPL as well as a senior dispute resolution adjudicator of the SAIIPL.
